About Robert

Robert E. Arledge, MMSC, PA-C, graduated from the Emory University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in 1996 and has spent his entire career practicing emergency medicine. With nearly three decades of experience, he has worked across the full spectrum of emergency care — from large, high-volume trauma centers to rural and critical access hospitals — developing a broad, practical perspective on delivering high-quality emergency care in any environment.

Throughout his career, Robert has remained deeply committed to education and mentorship. He has delivered lectures to physician assistant students, presented at national conferences, and precepted PA students during clinical rotations. His passion for teaching is grounded in real-world experience and focused on building clinical confidence, decision-making skills, and resilience in high-pressure environments.

Robert continues to practice full-time in emergency medicine, staying actively engaged in the evolving challenges of frontline care. For the past 15 years, he has concentrated on onboarding and developing new graduate Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), creating structured programs to support their transition into emergency medicine.

This work led to the development of Thrive and Survive™, a structured onboarding and professional development series designed to help new APPs build confidence, sharpen clinical thinking, and succeed in emergency medicine from day one.

Outside of medicine, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and working on their century-plus-year-old farmhouse situated on a small hobby farm. Together, they maintain chickens, manage beehives, and cultivate plants in their greenhouse — a rewarding balance to the fast pace of emergency medicine. 🌿🐓🐝
